Where can I park near Prahna in Corstorphine?

The bay directly outside the front door of Prahna is restricted to 30 minutes between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday. It is fine for a quick takeaway pickup but not for a sit-down meal. Sundays are unrestricted.

For longer stays, head one block off St John's Road. Saughton Road North, Manse Road, and Belgrave Road all have free unrestricted parking and put you within a two-minute walk of the restaurant. Even at peak Friday and Saturday dinner times, you should find a space within 100 metres.

Drum Brae Roundabout sits 200 metres west of the front door; if you are driving in from the west or from the M9, take the third exit and Prahna is on the south side of St John's Road, immediately on your right. There is a low-key gold script "prahna" sign above the door.

By bus, the 1, 12, 21, 22, 26, and X37 stop on St John's Road within 100 metres of the door. The Edinburgh Park tram stop is a five-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk away. The restaurant is at 0131 563 4748 if you need directions on the way in.

Coming from Edinburgh Airport? The drive is about fifteen minutes via the A8, slightly longer at peak times. We are a popular early-dinner stop for travellers staying at the airport hotels (Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Premier Inn) before an evening flight or after landing. The bay-numbered stays of those hotel car parks are no concern of ours, but our own free street parking holds plenty for a sit-down meal.

Coming from Edinburgh Zoo? The drive is five minutes east along Corstorphine Road, which becomes St John's Road. We are on the south side, just past Drum Brae Roundabout. A late lunch or afternoon chai after a morning at the zoo is among the more pleasant ways to spend a Saturday in the west of Edinburgh.
